Hello!
I’m Sarah ‘Cookie’ Cook, a voiceover artist from Yorkshire.
I spent 15 years in the Advertising and Marketing industry, 12 of those working at some fantastic London agencies. Luckily for me, for the last 5 years of my career, I was given the opportunity to record commercials and narration for many of my clients. These sporadic voiceover sessions were a welcome break from my day job of creative briefings, endless meetings and PowerPoint decks. Oh the decks! How they haunt me.
I really enjoyed using my natural ability to create a broad range of voiceovers from explainer videos to radio ads, so decided at the end of 2023 to pursue a career in VO full time. I am delighted to be represented by the wonderful agents at Damn Good Voices.
I have a range of tones, energies and voices, but my natural accent is warm, soft Northern, with a playing age of 25-40. I can also easily adapt to be more neutral if required for things like corporate internal videos and how-to instruction.
I have a home studio set-up with a Rode NT1-A mic and can of course travel nationwide for in-person recording sessions whenever required.
Take a listen…
I recorded a new voicereel with the fantastic Adam at The Voice Republic.
The megamix combines some examples of commercials and narration for your listening pleasure!
